Job Introduction
As Regional Development Chef, you will be working with chefs and Unit Managers to develop innovative and exciting food presentation ideas using our fresh, sustainable ingredients; placing emphasis on consistently delivering the highest quality food as well as having the creative flair, originality and ability to make a stir in the school catering industry.
Role Responsibility
- Working with chefs and unit managers to ensure a consistently fantastic dining experience for students and staff in line with all food policies
- Leading in the preparation of delicious and nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our fresh and sustainable ingredients; and overseeing menu development
- Providing outstanding support and guidance to chefs within your area
- Leading, developing, coaching and training chefs to ensure they are able to perform to the required standards compliance & policies in all areas of food health, safety and quality
- Develop food offers & marketing initiatives, ensuring that we are on trend, innovative and profitable
- Assist with increasing sales & retaining/growing our business via fresh food and innovation
- Ensure that excellent levels of service are being delivered to customers
- Compliance with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for somebody who shares our passion for maintaining the highest standards of food and service for our customers along with the following:
- Previous experience in a development or senior culinary role
- Excellent craft background and skills
- Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments & innovations
- Strong financial understanding and demonstrable in understanding budgets
- Experienced in adhering to and driving company initiatives
- Proven ability communicating at different levels
- Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
